East German surplus isn't getting any easier to find, but it's still just as drippy. These shirts have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere in Europe since the fall of the DDR, expect some surplus mustiness.
Strichtarn was first adopted in 1965, inspired by the . It served until the reunification of Germany. The standard NVA field uniform was commonly referred to as the Kampfanzug 64, or "combat suit" in English.
East German surplus uniforms and equipment saw widespread use during the Yugoslav Wars, various African conflicts and even the Afghan Civil War. Due to limitations set in a 1990 European disarmament treaty, the German Bundeswehr was unable to keep large stocks of East German surplus on hand for future use. Much of it was sold onto the surplus market or destroyed post-unification.

Mediums (48) will fit a US 32-34 waist.
Larges (52) will fit a US 34-36 waist.

XXLs (60) will fit a US 38-40 waist.
