A sleeveless dress by issey miyake. It has a round neck and narrow cut, and is made from two layers of similarly-coloured but not identical fabrics (each in a sense a dress on its own) which are joined together only at the shoulder with the effect that each layer will move about on its own on the body.

The inner layer, which is made from a lightweight woven material, is cut wider than the outer layer (see the measurements for an idea of this), with the result that the fabric bunches up a bit when it (inner) is contained within outer. The outer fabric is both longer than the inner and slightly transparent, so that as you move down the dress it is possible to see both the hemline of the inner layer, I suppose part of the legs of any prospective wearer (through the semi transparent outer layer), and then finally the hem of the semi transparent outer layer. I personaly consider this to be a very satisfying combination.

The dress is in good condition overall, with a small mark on the back of the dress, near the hem.
